Head of Sales
Location: UK Head office – the person will be officially Home Office located
Remuneration: Base salary c. £100,000 – £120,000 base and c. £200,000 OTE plus CA.

- CRM, CEM, Customer Experience Management, Customer Journey Mapping, Customer Insight, Voice of the Customer, Feedback Management, Response Management, Analytics, Sentiment Analysis, Customer Service and CX applications or other aligned sectors such as Marketing Automation, Business Analytics, Contact Centres.

Our client is a highly innovative and successful UK based software vendor. They are one of the leading providers of Customer Engagement Management solutions and can boast an impressive array of FTSE 100 enterprise clients across all main commercial vertical sectors.
Role Objectives:
- With an immediate team of 8 sales reports and reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Head of Sales is primarily responsible for delivering the Sales strategy and the operational management of Account Management and Direct Sales functions, to achieve the Company’s revenue targets. In collaboration with the Chief Revenue Officer, the Head of Sales will plan, implement and manage an effective sales strategy to develop and deliver the core portfolio of services and products. Assume responsibility for securing the Company’s Bookings target – i) growth through new business sales or enhanced business in existing accounts with the appropriate margin and ii) retention of recurring revenue business. This encompasses all activity and direction of Account Management and Sales.
- Working in collaboration with the Chief Revenue Officer, to position and develop the business to increase revenues and profits and to compete and succeed within the specified verticals. Acting as an ambassador for the company, raise its profile, branding and credibility within the market, with Partners to the business and suppliers.
- Work closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Management Team to actively contribute to and develop new products / services / solutions to take to market, without diluting the core propositions. Use marketing and promotional activity, involving the sales and account teams, to communicate new services to existing Clients and Partners and sell to a new client base.
- Manage the performance of the Sales Teams with regular Performance Reviews. Define and agree objectives/targets with individuals and monitor their performance on an ongoing basis. Ensure timely assistance to help individuals unable to meet targets, by identifying the issues and providing support and guidance to improve. Using the Performance Management processes and tools, ensure optimum productivity and effectiveness of the teams.
Experience Requirements:
- Our client is seeking a candidate who is already an experienced sales team leader (Sales Director, Head of Sales, VP Sales, Sales Manager levels) with a demonstrable track record of building and leading sales teams within the relevant software and SaaS solutions sectors in one or more of these sectors:
- CRM, CEM, Customer Experience Management, Customer Journey Mapping, Customer Insight, Voice of the Customer, Feedback Management, Response Management, Analytics, Sentiment Analysis, Customer Service and CX applications or other aligned sectors such as Marketing Automation, Business Analytics, Contact Centres.
Educational Qualifications: Minimum academic level required: A-level with Degree level preferred
Mobility Requirements: Must hold clean, valid driving licence.
